A complete career track built across technology and operations.

My experience has never fit neatly into a single lane. Traditional employment, public service, entrepreneurship, infrastructure operations, and technical projects have overlapped throughout my career.

Career theme

Technology that has to work, people who depend on it, and clear ownership when it does not.

01
1997–PresentEntrepreneurship & Technology

Founder

Grand Bay Collective

Founded a long-running technology and media organization that became the umbrella for software, infrastructure, hosting, media, and internal platform work.

The work has included building and operating technology services, internal applications, web systems, communications platforms, and related ventures. It established an entrepreneurial operating track early in my career and required me to move between technology, service delivery, customer needs, and business decisions.

05
2015–2017Broadband & Field Operations

Cable / Broadband Plant & Systems Manager

Time Warner Cable / Spectrum

Worked across broadband plant, field systems, service quality, customer impact, and technical operations where physical infrastructure and service delivery were inseparable.

Installed, activated, managed, and troubleshot residential and business broadband and customer-premise systems. The role reinforced disciplined signal-path troubleshooting, documentation, independent field work, customer communication, and the relationship between infrastructure decisions and the service experienced by end users.

06
2018–2025Public Sector IT Leadership

Director of Information Technology

Cicero Fire District

Directed day-to-day technology for a public-safety organization where continuity, response time, security, and public accountability were operational requirements.

Led computers, servers, networks, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, user accounts, VoIP, VPN, backups, security, vendors, assets, licensing, documentation, recovery planning, and technical policy. Modernized email, phone, network, virtualization, and station technology and moved key systems to a more redundant multi-server virtualization environment.

07
CurrentCommunications Operations

Station Manager / Broadcast Systems Operator

Ventra Radio / All Oldies 24/7

Operate distributed broadcast technology where automation, streaming, synchronization, monitoring, metadata, continuity, and rapid recovery are everyday concerns.

The environment connects geographically separated operations and reinforces the same disciplines required in enterprise technology: resilient architecture, observability, automation, change control, and clear recovery paths.

08
CurrentTechnology, Media & Homestead

Founder / Project Lead

Gigabyte Grove

Lead a family homestead and media project combining practical technology, communications, weather monitoring, automation, and self-sufficiency planning.

Projects include networking, cameras, weather data, radio systems, ADS-B monitoring, 3D printing, automation, property infrastructure, media production, and public-facing communications.

Different industries. Same operating discipline.

Public safety taught me continuity and accountability. Broadband reinforced field reality and service impact. Hosting made end-to-end ownership unavoidable. Consulting sharpened communication. Broadcast systems made synchronization, monitoring, and recovery part of everyday operations. Each chapter added another layer to how I lead technology.
